Just want to inform everyone about the new Beta forum.
Yeah, i'm also pretty new to this so you're not the only person who's confused.

Our Forum has Beta 2.0, but every now and then phpBB creates a new version and the old one expires.
Nothing to worry about, unless you're me .

Once the third version is out, we will get the chance to upgrade it (if we don't, it will automatically after some time).
The third version is going to look different. We will get the ability to create Sub-forums (and a bunch of other stuff).
So, it IS gonna be better. but the forum will work differently. I heard that we will have to install some things all over again so my day will be pretty busy when it comes out. And the admin panel will also be different. So i'm sure i'll be fucking confused that day.

I am definitely excited about the new features. And with sub-forums, you won't have to scroll as much.
There is no official release date yet, but they keep saying that it will happen soon.

The upgrade of existing forum will not take place until at least the end of the week

It is free.

At this time if you create a new live forum it will be in phpbb3.

I think i'll go do that just to test it out and see how it all works. I don't want any surprises once we upgrade CoA.

Perhaps we should wait until they have all those things.



Poll options are FAR easier now though.

Okay, I am FINALLY starting to get how to subforums work and shit. yaay, Iz not so dumb.

More styles have been installed so that is good.
and each forum can have a different style so that is definitely cool

I haven't even been able to sign in, I enter the user name and password and then it says I'm signed in, but it I try to even look at any thing it wants me to sign in again and I get stuck in a loop.

JD do you use Firefox? ?When the site was working I was at work and we have Explorer there, but at home I use Firefox and I am getting the same problems as before.

I have tried to play but it is so fucking confusing I think we shouldn't change till they make us.

There are a few things that are easy, but for the most part the admin pages are just evil.

We'll see. I asked some questions on the help forum adn they said that the forum will be updated eventually. so it is better for us to do it <<


one thing that sucks a lot is that we'll loose the smileys
so maybe I should save the ones on my computer that I like the most.

and for now, we;ll only have a limit of 100 smilies so we really need to discuss which ones we'll use.
Maybe it's better to update it next week instead of this one.


Also, no HTLM codes, which means, no pop-ups and ads. but still, we'll have to create our own BB codes which is gonna be confusing at first XDDDDD
