Okay, this kind of looks like ass. Don't think it's necessary .

But I will be posting them. This is the first issue out of four.

Gonna read it now, hope it won't suck too much X_X

Holy, that was awful.

The artwork is pretty bad compared to Buffy's and Angel's.

and although it had it's moments, most of the writing is also terrible. don't like any of the characters besides Illyria.

* star. worst comic yet.

Is Spike not in the regular After the Fall comic series? :/

did you not read the comics? the first couple are months (or was it weeks?) after the battle. in these, the're showing what Spike and Illyria before teaming back with Angel.

Definitely unnecessary because they already did a short piece on one of the Angel comics on this.

The only comics I've read so far is what was in the first trade paperback of Buffy season 8 - which included The Long Road Home and The Chain.

I wasn't talking about any typos or anything.
I meant advising Cory to read the comics before critizing them. That kind of makes sense.

But the only way I was criticizing them was that the artwork for the Spike comics above sucked.

And that doesn't require reading.

I have too.Sometimes if the writing is good enough you can get past bad art, but that is not the case with this one.

bad art, like special effects, don't naturally make something good or bad. it's the story.

I only skimmed it. You can't see the whole page at once this way and it messes up the reading experiance IMO. I'm a purist I need to have a comic in my had to really read it.

I prefer to read the actual comic too.

But the Buffy trade paperback was the first time I ever bothered to read a comic book, usually I find them too complicated to read, and it's not nearly as easy for me to get into the story as with a book or show/movie.

Books make me lazy, to sodding long.

comic books are pretty, but I wouldn't pay money for them.

it was a bit weird reading them like this, but i've adjusted and enjoy it more this way. No turning pages and all. Did I mention i'm lazy?

Wow. When you said it was bad, you weren't kidding. It had a few OK moments, mainly dealing with Illyria, but overall I feel stupider just having read it.
