Re: Ask me something and I *might* answer

I do enjoy the 3D style as well, just for different reasons, and to a lesser extent. That could change if I find more games that does the style well enough though. I actually downloaded Yoshi's Story for the Wii. I haven't really done too much with it, mainly playing through the main game. I do want...

Re: Erik and Kath's room

Heh. Ever since I first learned about Jigglypuff (a while after she first appeared in a Pokemon game) I've made the connection between the two. I even have Kirby vs. Jigglypuff battles in the Super Smash Bros. games. :P I'm hardly ever Jigglypuff in that game. I don't think she's that bad, but there...

Re: Ask me something and I *might* answer

It would be really hard for me to do that. :blum: And Mario would probably take up a lot of spaces with his platformers. :iguess: Personally, I skipped the whole Nintendo 64 generation, so any games from that time I have to catch up on. I've already caught up on Mario 64. I really enjoy Mario 64, bu...

Re: Ask me something and I *might* answer

From my understanding of their reasoning behind the creation of Nuts & Bolts, it's mainly because of the time difference from N64 to now. Games are different, and they wanted to "change with the times." So, if they do come out with a new Banjo-Kazooie platformer, it would still probabl...

Re: Survivor: Samoa

Just saw the final episode. I knew that getting rid of Shambo was stupid, and same with getting rid of Jaison was dumb too. And it was even proven during the reunion special. In the end, the least deserving of the final 4 won. Russel was obviously an asshole, and he was really cocky once he got the ...

Re: Ask me something and I *might* answer

Hero Klungo Sssavesss Teh World was fun. It was a bit about trial and error, trying to get your jump just right so that you don't die, but I still really enjoyed it. With the downloadable content being so cheap, I'd almost say that it's worth it just for the sequel. :blum: I can understand your frus...

Re: Ask me something and I *might* answer

Yeah. Not really sure what it unlocks though. I'll have to look into it more. Klungo is really funny in Nuts & Bolts IMO, and he's also connected to my favorite thing to do on the side: A very simplistic game modeled after older games, called Hero Klungo Sssavesss Teh World. All you basically do...

Re: Ask me something and I *might* answer

I just played Nuts & Bolts for the first time in a while. I didn't do too much in the game, just got one jiggy from a race. Now I need 14 more before I have the minimum to get into the final area. Also, I just noticed, if I bought 1600 Microsoft points, I could buy the original Banjo-Kazooie and...

Probably my favorite of the side-characters in the game would be Klungo. I love Klungo. :awesome:

Re: Ask me something and I *might* answer

I'm usually OK with challenge in the game, and if it's a good kind of challenge, it would make me like the game more, but I think I like them changing it in the new version. :P

Yes, Bottles is in the game. And they loosely explain how he's back with a joke. :P

Re: Ask me something and I *might* answer

But for me, the best, hardest and occasionally most frustrating part of Banjo Kazooie was trying to obtain the 100 notes per level. Once you lost a life, you'd have to re-collect the musical notes, starting from the first one. I just heard that they changed this in the XBLA version, so you don't ha...

Re: Ask me something and I *might* answer

Yep, very different. Much more vehicle based. There is still platforming in the game, especially in the hub world, though the game is mainly based around the vehicle gameplay. They're pretty easy to make (you're pretty limited at first, but when you get further into it and unlock more vehicle parts ...

Re: Ask me something and I *might* answer

The number of Worlds in Nuts & Bolts was actually reduced to 5, with each world having different acts (most have 6, the last one has 5). The actual levels don't have Jinjo rescues like previous ones, but the hub world does. You have 6 Jinjos to rescue, and 6 Minjos to replace them with. Instead ...

Re: Ask me something and I *might* answer

All this talk about the Banjo-Kazooie games, and a few videos I've seen of the games lately has made me excited again to play those games. :P But it's also made me want to try to beat Nuts & Bolts again. I know a lot of the fans were upset about it not being a normal Banjo game, and I can kind o...

Re: What are you watching right now?

lol. OK, so you're not completely crazy. :blum: I doubt that I will end up liking the mythology on the show more than, or even as much as Lost's, because one of the things I love about Lost's is the fact that it is complicated. You can run through the different elements of it, from the character dev...

Re: What are you watching right now?

Isn't that amazing? <3 The show isn't serious, so you shouldn't take it seriously. There are just some cool mysteries along the way. The world of the Venture Bros is so amazing <3 especially from Season 2 onwards. The Venture Bros villains <3 If that's the kind of thing you're talking abou...

Re: Random rants/reviews/whatevers

Yeah, I've seen Robot Chicken. I do sometimes have mixed feelings about it, due to the random nature of it, and the fact that some of the segments are either shorter or longer than they should be, so that some of the shorter jokes don't really work that well, and some of the longer ones drag on long...

Re: What are you watching right now?

BTW, JD, how long does it take for the mythology of The Venture Bros. to actually start? So far there's absolutely no sign of it. So far the closest thing to "mythology" would be the fact that the one villain was raised by butterflies... :|

Re: What are you watching right now?

I don't know. The show has promise, but a lot of it seems pretty stupid to me. I'll give it another shot some other time, and hopefully my opinion of it improves. To be honest, this is easily my least favorite of your favorite shows from what I've seen of it. As for the first 2 episodes, I don't kno...
