Buffy: I'm liking pretty much everything about it. One thing that I didn't care for was Willow's magic story, although it was much better in the last episode.
Angel: Very good. The characters are better in this season than they have been before. I liked the story of Darla and the baby. I'm also liking the story of that guy who came from the past to get revenge on Angel.

IMO, I think that 'Birthday' showed how much Cordy had changed. She chose to be a hero, over being popular and famous.
