A groundbreaking first year, definitely one of the best first seasons I have ever seen.

- Six Feet Under
- The Will
- The Foot
- An Open Book
- The Room
- Life's Too Short
- The Trip
- A Private Life
- Knock, Knock

Episodes I Like

- Familia
- Crossroads
- Brotherhood
- The New Person

'OK' Episodes

The best episode has to be A Private Life, truly powerful. Michael C. Hall should have won an Emmy for that episode.

I'm four episodes in as of this tonight, I hope to have season one finished by the end of the week. Personally I liked "Familia" quite a bit. I didn't think I would, but I did.

I love the shows mix of drama with dark humor, before I started watching it I thought it would be even heavier - I really enjoy the humor though.

I think that Season 1 is the lighest season.
Each season has comedy (Season 1 and 4 the most I believe). but they're still heavy. Especially end Season 3 and 5.

hope you like the rest. I personally think 'Familia' is one of the weakest episodes. but it's still good compared to other shows.

Hmm, that's kinda tough.

I love Ruth, and Claire. Nathaniel annoyed me at first but I'm getting more attached to him and Brenda, they're scenes are definitely interesting.

There's not really a character I don't like. Well...I don't like Keith very much. His anger problems get old quick, but overall I don't know if I dislike the way the character is written or the actor himself - I already know he and David end up together which I can't say I care too much about, I was hoping David would find someone else.

And Jeremy Sisto really bugs me too so I don't like that he plays Brenda's brother. :/

It's such a character driven show.

I don't dislike any of the main characters in S1. I dislike some later on. I didn't like David at first as much as I do now. He used to give me the creeps a little but then he really grew on me.

I love Jeremy Sisto. SFU was the first thing that I saw him in, though.

David *is* a little creepy, he looks like Frankenstein or something, oddly he's less creepy-looking in Dexter, and he plays a psychopath in that. Hah. I like David overall though, LOVE the moments with his dry humor.

Yeah he has a big forehead and his voice is really deep.

I find him more less creepy as Dexter as well.

David ended up being one of my favourites in SFU.

But for me it was always Nate. Loved him from the first episode till the last.

David looks like a living corpse in season 1. Holy shit that guy's pale.

Keith <333
always liked him better than David tbh.

OK, so I'm on episode ten of the first season. Those are the only episodes I had downloaded, unfortunately. I'm trying to download the last three (and the first few of the second season), but E-mule is slow as shit. :-/ I could use SurftheChannel, but I am not going to watch SFU with effing Chinese subtitles.

Anyway, I'm totally addicted to this show now, it's pretty amazing.

My biggest complaint with season one is the scene during "Life's Too Short", when Ruth takes ecstasy. The writers obviously did ZERO research on it, her experience is completely unrealistic and more akin to something that would have happened on LSD or mushrooms.

Anyhoo, other than that, it's great.

I wish it was in widescreen though, that's my only other complaint. ;)

That's a bit harsh.

He has a few anger issues but I always thought he was good for David. It's been a while since I watched S1 though.

Is there something in particular he did or ya just don't like him in general?

I was exaggerating. :) Although he hasn't done anything yet to make me actually like him. He just rubs me the wrong way, I don't really care for his personality much from what I've seen.

I'm hoping that will change in later seasons since he's sticking around.

Fair enough. Sometimes characters have that x-factor that we love and others just don't.

Do you like Nate?

It's a shame you didn't watch SFU first. :)

I really wanted to love DSM because I love PK but it just didn't do it for me.

I like DSM a lot, I thought the first couple of episodes were sorta "meh" - not great, not horrible - but I like it quite a lot now. :)

ABC only ordered 13 episodes for the second season initially though, with the option to extend it to 22 or more (which they did also with Pushing Daisies and Private Practice). I'm really hoping it gets a full season. Along with Pushing Daisies. But if it was between the two I'd pick PD. ;)

I probably watched the first six episodes of DSM before it lost me.

I haven't seen PD yet. :(

*gasp*

Most seasons there is one show that I get excited about leading up to the fall, and then usually when the pilots get leaked I'm usually in love with it, and then I start making everyone I know promise to watch it...last year it was Pushing Daisies. The show is simply amazing to me, when I watch it, it makes me feel very, very happy and warm inside, haha.

This season the show I'm most excited about is Fringe, and I loved it but it doesn't have me as head-over-heels in love as PD did.

Yeah I don't know what happenned with it.

I got a free DVD with the Newspaper with the Pilot episode which I still haven't watched) and it was supposd to be on TV not long after but it never made it.

I'll add it to the neverending list of stuff that I have to watch. :(

I'm done with season one, have to say I was quite impressed. This show quickly made it to "favorite" status with me, and I'm completely in love with the characters, even the damn funeral home.

I don't have too many complaints with season one overall. I don't like the fact I can only see it in fullscreen...I have issues with Keith...but other than that, excellent, spellbinding TV. :)

So yeah, I rewatched the whole thing with Natasja in one day.

I still think A Private life is the best episode, then either The Pilot or The Room. I think I liked The Room better this time :O

My least favorite... eeh, can't really tell. Probably The New Person. I really liked Familia this time, though it's still one of my least favorites.
