I wonder why. :giggle:
I've never actually attended a comic-con, but I have gone to more comic stores than I an count.

They probably only have them in the big cities I would think. This one was in San Diego and they had mentioned Chicago and San Antonio. It's like the big movie premieres...they are never by us...usually cities like Dallas, Houston, Atlanta...and I'm not traveling that far for something like that.

I don't know if they ever had one in Boston, but NY isn't really that far away. I just never hear about them till there over, so it's impossible to plan something.

There are smaller ones that would probably be in MA, but Comic-Con is huge and only goes to a few big cities ever year.

Don't they have stars from TV shows there, too? Like I think Joss Whedon's casts and X-files casts have attended them...unless I'm thinking of something else.

I've attended a couple Doctor Who conventions, way back when the original show was on, I think I was still in High School for both of them, I've got to meet the 2nd and 5th Doctors, on was in Concord, NH and one in Boston MA. Also a Star Trek/Babylon Five convention in Boston Deanna Troi, Odo (from Star Trek) and Vir (from B5) were at it. I was in my 20's for that one. But never a comic book one.

Hopefully I'll get to go to more someday.

That's pretty kewl. I met a few wrestling stars when I was in my teens and into the whole hunky muscle thing (not that I've lost that aspect LOL) ...a lot of them were quite nice but I don't think steriods ran as rampid through the industry as it does now. Sad part is there are so many pro wrestlers that are dead because of that shit now...at such young ages :(....what a waste.

There are reasons most pro athletes aren't allowed to use them.

Yep, but they are hard headed and I think it's encouraged in an under the table sort of way.

That's too bad, it really should be discouraged.

Yes, it should. Looks aren't everything and there are so many unhealthy side affects to taking that stuff. Most notably heart problems which is what a lot of these guys end up dying from....the most recent was a guy named Eddie Guerrero ...he was only a year older than me.

Another was the "British Bulldog"...I think he was close to my age, too. I'm pretty sure he was married and had kids, as well. I don't know how much you know about wrestling but he was Bret Hart's B-I-L. I haven't watched wrestling in ages but every once in a while I run across news items on them.

God, I'd love a music/movie room. Wanna start collecting vinyl records and posters. Get a projection screen, surround sound...It'd be glorious.

Not related to the current topic. Sorry. <<
